According to AARP’s Money Talk Blog, a convincing new phishing scam threatens Amazon shoppers. The fake emails, appear to be sent by Amazon with the subject line “Your Amazon.com order cannot be shipped.”
The email states that there is a problem processing orders and warns that you will not be able to access your account or place orders until you confirm your account information. A link takes you to an “authentic-looking page to confirm your name, address and credit card information (including expiration and CVV security code) — everything fraudsters need to make unauthorized charges.”
If you are concerned about your Amazon account. Go to www.Amazon.com and log in directly from there.
